About Jenny Montgomery, LMFT — Los Angeles

My Approach

Psychotherapy is a unique experience for everyone.  It starts with talking about whatever feelings and thoughts you wish to discuss. My job is to help support you and empower you to name your thoughts and feelings. This will give you a better understanding as to how your behaviors and communication affect others.  This process has the potential to support you in creating a better understanding and acceptance of yourself and the underlying motives of your challenges.  Having a strong sense of yourself, an understanding of your behaviors, and the ways you have made sense of the experiences in your life will help you make positive changes.

I often explore with clients their past childhood memories and early family experiences.  Incorporated throughout the therapeutic experience are ideas for improved self-care, strategies for changing negative thought patterns, new ways to communicate with others, and identifying your strengths and abilities. In our sessions, I will listen and help you organize your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that your reactions to experiences will make sense to you.

How can we work together?

I am here to help you and your family find the right level of care to meet your needs today. I work with my clients to develop an individualized strategy for our work together.
